Technical Advisor at Carbon Fund, Conservation International

Natasha is a Technical Advisor for Conservation International’s Carbon Fund, based out of Washington DC. The Carbon Fund invests in, develops and implements climate change mitigation projects linked to reduced deforestation and other land use activities. In this role Natasha is responsible for guiding project selection and design, and helping mature the Fund’s pipeline of REDD+ projects and sustainable landscape approaches. She also provides technical expertise on the development of other innovative incentive-based approaches to conservation, with a focus on the role and participation of the private sector. 

Prior to joining CI in 2011, Natasha spent several years working at a field level on the implementation of biodiversity and conservation projects in Madagascar, Nicaragua, Peru and Ecuador. She grew up in Mexico and has a bachelor’s degree from Cambridge University and a master’s degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics.
