Sharon is responsible for designing and placing environmental risk management programs for a variety of corporate clients in a variety of business sectors. She has over a decade of experience in risk management. Prior to getting into environmental insurance, Sharon worked with the Global Environment Facility (GEF), housed in the World Bank in D.C. Previous to that, she worked for Conservation International, four of those years based out of Maun, Botswana where she lead their ecotourism program.
Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Biology and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a Masters in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh.
Sharon has served on the marketing leadership advisory board of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) until 2018, and served on the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Environmental Forum Steering Committee from April 2015-2018. Sharon also served on the board of PhytoTrade, a fair trade association in Africa, in the early 2000's.
