Christian brings a 20 year track record of starting and leading education, research, conservation and social enterprises, with expertise in aligning the operational with the strategic. In 1998 he co-founded Cape Eleuthera Island School in The Bahamas, and his experience as a corporate director, business officer, and head of advancement helps him bring emergent perspective to ventures.

Christian holds an MBA from Duke's Fuqua School of Business and a B.A. in Biology from Swarthmore College. He is involved at the governance level of international education ventures in journalism, conservation, and marine research. He serves on the board of the Boston-area Beacon Hill Seminars, Paris-based News-Decoder, and the Centre for Ocean Research and Education in the Bahamas (www.coresciences.org).

He co-hosted the 2013 Kinship Fellows focus year summit as part of the Watershed & Coastal Resilency working group: https://www.kinshipfellows.org/resources/evaluating-properties-in-eleuthera-for-market-based-conservation
